STEP Transportation has been working with representatives from PennDOT, ML Baker Consultants, and KCI Technologies, Inc. to plan for the release of Find My Ride Scheduling in Lycoming and Clinton counties.
Find My Ride Schedule will enable riders and/or their caretakers to book and manage trips online using a PC, smartphone, or other mobile device. The anticipated benefits of this system: are 1) enhanced customer experience; 2) streamlined reservation process; and 3) reduced volume of calls and call wait times.
STEP is in the final stages of preparation for a soft launch. As it pertains to this system, it has been decided as part of the soft launch that customers will be only able to book trips within the county in which they reside. The length in travel miles was the deciding figure. Once experience has been acquired, we may include the cross-county trips in the system. We will use the month of March for departmental training and will look to have our soft launch as early in April as possible.
