AmeriCorps Week was observed from March 9-15. The annual, week-long celebration recognizes the contributions of AmeriCorps members, alumni, and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who give billions of hours of service to create lasting impact in communities nationwide.
This year STEP AmeriCorps members assisted with a bed build service project, hosted by Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Lock Haven. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization that builds and delivers beds to local kids in need. Along with several other community organizations, STEP AmeriCorps members were able to build 34 beds, 14 of which were delivered the same day.
